Gonçalo Byrne Arquitectos is an international awarded architectural firm headed by architect Gonçalo Byrne which gathers a vast group of professionals in a cross-disciplinary and international team, with distinguished levels of expertise in architectural and urban design practices as well as research.

These includes the Piranesi Prix de Rome, one of the most important international awards for works in relevant archeological and historical contexts, attributed, in its 2014 edition, to the National Museum Machado de Castro, in Coimbra, and the first prize at the IX Iberian-American Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, in Rosario, attributed to the Thalia Theatre, in Lisbon.
